| | The Lake Elementary School District is committed to the philosophy that children are capable of learning. We believe in providing an educational program which emphasizes the development of the whole child. We believe that the individual needs of every student can best be met by providing a stimulating environment based on school staff and community involvement. | |

| | Lake District School is a small kindergarten through eighth grade school set in a rural agricultural community in northern California, approximately 100 miles north of Sacramento. The area is comprised of small farms with a majority of one or both parents being employed in nearby Orland or Chico.
The school population is 130 students, with an average of 30 per classroom. Each classroom is multigraded, with the exception of the Kindergarten, First, and Second grades. The Kindergarten, First and Second grade classes have an average of 15 students. Six teachers staff the school, which includes a teaching principal. School funds finance three full-time and one part-time instructional aide.
The Glenn County Office of Education provides a part-time resource teacher and a full-time resource aide, who serve an average of seven (2%) students per year. It also has a Special Day Class on campus comprised of eight students, who are mainstreamed into Lake School's classrooms. | |
