SCHOOL SITE COUNCIL
School Site Council annually reviews and updates updates the Single Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA) including proposed expenditure of funds allocated to the school through the Consolidated Application. The SCC must approve the plan, recommend it to the local governing board for approval, monitor its implementation, and evaluate the effectiveness of the planned activities at least annually.
With the implementation of LCFF (Local Control Funding Formula) in 2013-14, the SCC also provides guidance on the LCAP (Local Control Accountability Plan). The LCAP is designed to engage parents, educators, employees, and the community to identify school district goals. These goals must describe specific actions and measure progress for student subgroups across multiple performance indicators, including student academic achievement, school climate, student access to a broad curriculum, and parent engagement, among others.
