SUPERINTENDENT'S MESSAGE
Hello Lake Families,
My name is Chris Mothorn and I am honored to be your new Superintendent and Principal.
I come to Lake with 18 years of experience as an educator. I was a teacher for eight years and have been a school administrator for the past ten years. Before coming to Lake I served as the Principal of Jackson Jr High School in Amador County where my school was recently recognized as a Distinguished School by the State of California for their improvement in test scores and school climate. Prior to that I was a Principal in Montana, and an Assistant Principal in Humboldt County and Lassen County. Before becoming an administrator I taught History at the junior high and high school level.
I grew up in Sacramento, I earned my History degree and teaching credential at CSU Long Beach and my Masters in Educational Administration through CSU Northridge. I am married with two children and I am very excited for my oldest daughter to attend Lake this year.
I am ready to get to work building on the tradition of achievement and excellence that Lake has built.
