Hello Lake School Community,
I’m excited and honored to introduce myself as Lake School’s new superintendent/principal!
I grew up in a small, rural agricultural town in Upstate New York so I feel right at home when in Glenn County. After serving 5½ years in the U.S. Air Force, I moved to California to go to graduate school and, honestly, to escape those harsh New York winters! When I left in January 2005, it was well below zero. Ten days later, I arrived in Northern California to sunny skies and 72 degrees. I’ve loved it here ever since.
My journey in education began at Capay School, where I taught 7th and 8th grade. (The only part I don’t miss is grading ELA papers!) For the past 11 years, I’ve had the privilege of serving as superintendent/principal at Plaza School.
Outside of work, I spend most of my time with my daughters, Kaitlyn (16) and Allison (13). We love being outdoors, taking trips, and cheering on the NY Yankees. When I’m not with them or at school, you can find me reading, catching up with friends, or working in my yard.
I look forward to getting to know each of you and building strong connections across our Lake School community—especially with the students. Here’s to a great year ahead!
