Each year the Mendocino National Forest hires and trains over a hundred members of our community to become members of our on-call fire fighting program. These men and women attend our internationally recognized training program to become the future faces of the Forest Service.
We have conveniently scheduled the training during the spring break week in Chico. Individuals are paid to complete the training.
